Family-Friendly Adventures: Why Kids Love Glacier Highline

We have everything you need to make memories for years to come and also probably doing some activities that weren’t on your Glacier bingo card.

What is the Adventure Pass? 

Our ALL ACCESS adventure pass lets you experience Glacier Highline, a family adventure park in Montana, to the fullest! The pass gives you the opportunity to enjoy everything in our park. Our pass gives you up to 2 hours on our ropes course activities with zip lining, rock climbing wall, inflatable ground obstacle course, and our inflatable water slide on our swimming pond. 

Don’t wanna do every obstacle? No worries! Our course is set up as a hub and spoke course style so you can pick and choose which way you would like to move throughout the course from each platform. This makes it multi-functional and helps you move along at your own pace. Wanna take a break? You can hop on and off the courses as you would like within your 2 hours of course time. 

The flexibility of the adventure pass allows you to move around throughout the park however and whenever you wish. We do only gear you up once, though, so we do ask that you do everything on the ropes courses before you ungear to move onto the other portions of your adventure pass.

What is included in the Aerial Adventure Park Pass?

All you need to bring to enjoy the aerial adventure park pass in Montana is YOU! This package includes all the safety gear you will need for both parts of the package. Show up and be ready to have some fun!!!! You will need to drive yourself and check in at each activity. Once you check in at the rafting office, the raft company will transport you to the start of your rafting adventure, pick you up at the end, and bring you back to their office once you are off the river.

Why is the Adventure Pass a good option for kids and families?

The Adventure Pass is a great aerial adventure park activity full of family fun! Your kids will be talking about Glacier Highline for years to come! Parenting hack: we are a wonderful post-hiking adventure reward….a carrot on the end of a stick if you will.  This is a great way to have fun as a family and tucker out your kids. It’s a win-win. Traveling with grandparents? Not everyone want to join? There are plenty of places to sit and watch. They can even cheer you all on from the ground.

What is the Park N Paddle Adventure?

Take your family adventure park experience in Montana to a new level. Book two of Glacier’s premier activities while you’re here. Wanna also book two of Glacier’s premier activities AND save a few $$?! Say less! Our Park N Paddle package does just that! This bundled package with our friends at Wild River Adventures signs you up for a full day of fun and adventure!

This package includes our full access adventure pass at Glacier Highline and a ½ day guided raft trip of your choosing. Wild River offers both a whitewater and scenic rafting adventure. Both take place on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River, and both are equally beautiful. On the Whitewater trip you will see class 2-3 rapids and will get to experience sections of rapids but also calmer sections. Great for first timers and family groups. You could also choose a scenic rafting trip with class 1 rapids. This trip is just as fun, with calmer water and smoother waves. Ideal for families with younger children.

(Rafting note: Kids must be at least 6 years old and 50 lbs to do the whitewater trip. Scenic trips are good for ages 3-103.)

WE GOT OPTIONS! There are lots of opportunities for you to raft and play how you wish, so it can fit into your packed Glacier NP schedule! We can also set it up so you can do the activities on different days if you don’t want to do them all in one day! All you need to bring is YOU for the Park-N-Paddle adventure! This package includes all the safety gear you will need for both parts of the package. Show up and be ready to HAVE SOME FUN!!!! You will need to drive yourself to check in at each activity. Once you check in at the rafting office, the raft company will transport you to the start of your rafting adventure, pick you up at the end, and bring you back to their office once you are off the river.

Why is the Park-N-Paddle a good option for kids and families?

Most families always choose to come to Glacier Highline and they will also have booked a rafting trip. This option saves you a little bit and lets you stretch your vacation budget a little bit further while you are here. Gives you the opportunity to experience two different types of activities all while getting to spend time together and making memories. The activities both help boost confidence, conquer fears and be at some points lending a helping hand to their sibling or family member. Also it’s been proven that sibling arguments are down 50% while doing either activity..and that we could consider a vacation just with that.

Although both activities are physical there is still a good portion of relaxation that happens unlike hiking all day. You can move throughout our courses at your leisure and take breaks where you need and along the river you can sit back and enjoy the smoother portion of the river and also get to use your muscles to help paddle and navigate your raft down the river.

What is the Inflatable Only adventure?

The Inflatable Only ticket is a great ticket option for kiddos who aren’t quite old enough for the ropes yet, and also great for anyone who wants to sit out on the ropes portion but enjoy our other activities. This offers you to partake in all other things Glacier Highline: the rock climbing wall, ground inflatable obstacle course, and inflatable water slide on our swimming pond.

What is included in the Inflatable Only Ticket? 

The ground inflatable is 80’ of inflatable fun including pillars you have to run through, jump over logs, shoot through tunnels, climb up and shoot down the exit slide. Sounds fun right?!? Take it to the next level by racing a friend.

Traverse our rock climbing wall by hooking your harness into our auto belay system and start climbing! Use all the colors together or test your luck by picking one color pegs to use only. Make it to the top? Want to be done? Lose your footing? All you have to do is let go, and our auto belay system will bring you back down to the ground, and you can try your luck again. 

Ready to swim? Head over to the pond, put on a lifejacket, and enjoy! Our inflatable water slide is a great way to cool off after a day at Glacier Highline!

Why is the Inflatable Only Ticket a good option for kids and families?

This is great for younger kiddos to keep them busy while their older siblings hit the ropes or maybe they just aren’t ready for the ropes. We like to have fun for everyone and this is a great way to do just that!

What is the Tower Grill?

Hungry yet? We have all you need at The Tower Grill and Coffee Shop right at Glacier Highline! Serving up a variety of options, you are sure to find something to eat or drink for everyone on your crew…even the picky ones!

Our kid menu is KID APPROVED! You can’t go wrong with chicken strips, corn dog, grilled cheese or nachos, right? I don’t think so! Our portions are great and easy to share or make sure you are fully fueled up for your next adventure. 

Even top off your meal with a kid favorite, Italian soda. Not your jam? Enjoy a frozen lemonade or a scoop (or two) of Sweet Peak’s ice cream. Don’t forget…vacation calories don’t count!

What are Glacier Highline’s lodging recommendations?

Planning your nights is just as important as planning your days in Glacier. Your days will be hot and long so you need to plan a great place to rest your head at night so you can be ready for what the next day brings. Want to try a different way to stay? You could experience glamping at Under Canvas. Traveling with a camper or RV? The West Glacier KOA is a great place! Super family friendly-has a pool, playground, and ice cream shop. Great way to unwind after your day. If you want to try to stay in Glacier, you have to reserve early, and when I say early I mean early. They have limited lodging, and it fills up fast. There are more lodging options between Columbia Falls, Whitefish, and Kalispell.

Why are these suitable recommendations for kids and families?

Lodging near West Glacier National Park or in Coram vs the rest of the Flathead Valley just gives you a head start on your day’s adventure being that much closer to Glacier. Staying up here also gives you more of the MT experience, in my opinion. We are still easy to get to and from other activities and events here in the Valley.
