“We can’t eat from any place that we can get at home.” That was our family rule growing up on vacation. That being said, let me guide you where to eat in Glacier National Park to fuel you while you’re exploring. With these one-of-a-kind places, you are guaranteed not to go somewhere you have at home. So get ready to belly up and dive into the real Glacier Montana classics!

Our Top Places to Eat in Glacier National Park: Our Favorites

  1. Tower Grill
  2. Josephine’s Bar & Grill
  3. Eddie’s Cafe
  4. Northern Lights Saloon
  5. ‘Nell’s at Swiftcurrent Restaurant

1. Tower Grill

Maybe zipling near Glacier National Park or swinging like Tarzan on the high ropes course has you famished — try the Tower Grill! There are plenty of goods to keep ya going. My personal favorite is the pulled pork nachos. There’s a wide variety of snacks to share, like nachos, fried pickles, or cheese curds. Or maybe a good ol’ burger will be just what you need. But let me tell ya what makes anything better from the Tower Grill…HUCKLEBERRY LEMONADE SLUSHIE! That’s a perfect way to top anything the grill has to offer. Don’t want the brain freeze? They can also serve up a wonderful huckleberry iced tea.

2. Josephine’s Bar & Grill

Josephine’s Bar and Kitchen, right up the road behind Glacier Distilling’s Red Barn, is a must as well! They not only have killer food, but they are also servin’ up great drinks as well. This menu is always changing but has a constant Montana flair. My favorites are the Bison Gyro and Prime Rib sandwich, but you can’t go wrong with anything here. I mean, you can even start your meal with some fried green tomatoes – how often can ya do that?!

Before you leave the area, do stop in for a drink at the craft distillery and tasting room at Glacier Distilling! From amazing whiskeys to cherry bourbon, they have everything you could want at their Whiskey Barn – from tasting flights to cocktails to bottle sales!

3. Eddie’s Cafe

Right inside Apgar Village in Glacier, you will find Eddie’s Cafe. Maybe you just want a quick scoop of ice cream? They have ya covered. Want to have a meal before your next must-do in Glacier? They have ya covered. Either have a seat in their dining room or grab a to-go and eat along the shores of Lake McDonald. The Farm to Table Burger is my favorite – that huckleberry BBQ sauce makes it!

4. Northern Lights Saloon

Don’t wanna stay up to enjoy the Northern Lights in Montana? You can still enjoy the Northern Lights Saloon up in Polebridge! Enjoy the scenic drive up to Polebridge and the views while you grab a bite of lunch or dinner.  Live music is a pretty common thing up here, too, so maybe you can even score dinner and a show! The Polebridge Mercantile is also right next door, and they have baked goods that you need in your life….especially that huckleberry bear claw.

5. ‘Nell’s at Swiftcurrent Restaurant

Nell’s at Swiftcurrent Restaurant is also another great dining option and could become one of your favorite places to eat in Glacier National Park! They are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and not one time of day is better than another to enjoy some great grub here! My favorites are either the turkey, apple, and bacon wrap or the Mediterranean wrap with falafel. I haven’t tried it, but they even have an Emu burger for the adventurous ones in your group.
